Wow, nice CRUSHING by Mr.X in this thread.
I don't think either one of us is saying to avoid social norms at all costs. Obviously, that's not even possible.
What is important however, is to understand where these things come from. Then you can make a more enlightened decision as to what to do.
I have to admit, in a non-pedophile way, that a cleanly shaved woman just does something to me biologically.
I'm not getting into any debates with scientists today. Sorry.
5. Reno mentioned an infantile angle. I have to admit, in a non-pedophile way, that a cleanly shaved woman just does something to me biologically. I dunno. It just does.
Fine. Take your freshly shaven balls and go home.
However, I'm pretty sure if we dissected his possessions and behaviors we'd find dozens of better examples of MFer conforming to societal norms, which I think would make some of his statements in this thread more than a little over-the-top.
We actually haven't done it in awhile. I tried last night but she said not til I shave my rascal. :madd:
I think that MF's point was that people like Daft would probably feel diminished if you took away their iPhone, hair gel, trendy shades, tanning salon membership, etc. And I think he's right. His point was more about the mainstream buying into consumerist fluff/luxuries as a means to get a "competitive edge" rather than the mere conforming to societal norms.
