99% of users are going to fall into your inept category. apple is telling them what they want because they don't really know.
Very true. I don't have the patience to help people with windows-based computer problems. Apple is much easier in that regard.
the best buy dude is just reciting the typical bull shit.
all the main apps that people use are on both mobile operating systems. yes android is open, but that also makes it more cluttered and difficult to use. iOS is very easy to use and does everything most people could ever want.
99% of people aren't going to know the difference or care. They have the same games, facebook/twitter is the same. the browsers are mostly the same. they take pictures, do video chats, etc.
the samsung tabs with comparable hardware to the ipad cost the same.

I think it depends on what you are used to.
I understand Windows, been using the O/S since 1995.
I find Macs difficult to use because of the differences. I just cannot get used to the operating system.
Would love to be able to be comfortable with a Mac but it just ain't gonna happen for me. I will stick to pc's.
I'm sure online computer debates are VERY entertaining for computer geeks. For me on the other hand not so much.
I use computers to check sports scores and check airfares. I definitely fall into the inept category. Personally, I'd rather play with my children, play guitar or go mountain biking than stare at a laptop. But different strokes for different folks I guess.
oh yea that keyboard one is weird, i saw it on amazon but ive never seen or heard anything else about it.
i'm just speaking generally between android os and iOS which is hard to compare exactly because only the ipad runs iOS and there are hundreds of products runnding android.
a problem with samsung is that they have 87 different phones and who knows how many different tablets, hard to compare them all.
but, yea i don't really see that at all. tons of business are using ipads and writing apps for it. personally i dont see most business people using a tab for too many things. i guess it depends what they are doing but i tried to edit a spreadsheet on one once and that is just ridiculously stupid. have to use the computer.
microsoft is rumored to be making office for ipad, but again I can't imagine why people would want to use that. it's fine for looking at documents but you can do that now. but if you want to work on a spreadsheet or type, a laptop is way easier.
there are more apps for iOS than android at this point but all the main stuff is on both. You can't view Flash on iOS because Adobe once pissed off Steve Jobs (seriously). i just starting using android on my new phone and I like it, but it can be buggy at times and I like to tinker with my toys all the time and change all the settings so it lets me do that where as Apple doesnt.
I've had much better experiences getting things fixed by Apple than by Samsung though. Something to keep in mind when we are letting 2 years olds play with a giant glass screen.
I'd just get the ipad.
