I can understand "Rokbyn's" sentiment with basements. I was raised in a house with a fully finished basement, complete with a rec room with a pool table, foosball table, full bar, TV/NES, etc. It was kinda cool as kids because me and my brother had our own area to get away from the parents a while.

See, MF'r gets it! Finished basements are the best place to hang out in the house. Back when I was in high school, I had the basement all to myself as my bedroom was down there. Because I am a night person, I like sleeping in and sleeping in is hard to do with the sun is shining in your bedroom at 7AM.

So when someone tells you that you're living in your mother's basement, then they know all about basements. Probably because they live in a basement. Probably their mother's basement.
