I am seldom a fan of dream sequences in anything - and this one didn't work for me. But other than that I thought the episode was good. Not great. It was still basically a series of events with no strong direction - just a bunch of stuff that happened - but it was well presented.
I was pleased with how they handled the LSD. It would be so easy to overdo something like that but they kept it fairly subtle and understated. I appreciate that.
And then the next morning discussion between Sterling and his wife - just a very original sequence.
Agreed re: Betty. she annoys me. I'm a little confused over Peggy's motives, but i love her anyway. That hole hand job in the movie theatre was a bit much, no?
Don is good with his new wife but i miss his loose sex story lines.
I finished through season four a couple of weeks ago.
I still don't understand the obsession.
They at first made it seem like Don Draper assumed his name to avoid his family. Now, they've made it seem like he deserted the war. That makes no sense. If he was discharged as Don Draper, why wouldn't he have been discharged as Dick Whitman?
It's the same thing over and over again. Someone gets married. They cheat. They get divorced. Meh. Fuck off. No sympathy from me.
