You have to pay for AMC? I don't have to pay.

Least I don't think I'm paying :clueless:

Yeah, AMC is only included in one of two premium add-on packages that cost $20/$25. I can't even downgrade my current plan cause of my contract, so it's either $20 a month to watch Mad Men live, or nothing at all to download it later that night and watch it the next day.

If Breaking Bad was also playing it'd be a no brainer, but I'm not paying for just the one show.

Probably not.

:fok:

That was okay. We'll have to see where they go with things.

The problem with the last couple seasons IMO is that they have just been a bunch of stuff that happens. There is a series of events and people have various reactions and sometimes it's interesting and thoughtful and that's it.

But the first season had this really subtle interconnectedness that would sneak up on you. Stuff would happen that related to something that happened 4 episodes prior that you didn't give much thought to at the time, and it was like BAM! Sometimes you wouldn't even realize the significance of what happened until the next day. It was so cleverly designed and there were these moments of inspiration and whimsy and reflection.

So hopefully they can bring some of that back.

I have yet to see the premiere but I know exactly what you're talking about. Show's been keeping busy, nothing more. Also, the novelty of the 1960's-time-capsule feel has worn off since the first couple of seasons.

But I'm sure it's still a solid show. With lots of great pointy boobage.

Zou Bisou Bisou - another new episode tonight.

Really looking forward to it. That last episode hit me harder than I realized at first and it kept coming back to me for the purposes of cogitation during the week. A good sign??

I also read during the week that there was a lot of demand on ITunes for that song Zou Bisou Bisou.

That was a compelling scene, no doubt.

T'was a very funny episode, I thought.

AMC is even releasing Zou Bisou Bisou on vinyl.

Quebec media made a big deal out of Megan's perfectly-executed quebecois swear word - CLICE! Surprised the hell out of me when she let it out. Was very authentic.

Man o man o man - what is it with this show and the terrible fat prosthetics? At least when they did it with Peggy in the early seasons, it was part of an important plotline. Now they do it again but I seriously they are going to have Betty be pregnant without knowing it.

It looks just as awful and phoney as before. It pulls me right out of the show. Is it really necessary? I guess we'll see.

I agree January Jones is hard to look at like this. And, I have no idea how important it is to the show, hopefully they didn't do it just to make us hold our breath for half an episode wondering if she had cancer, which I wasn't. Season 1 & 2 were so good. There was so much going on with the characters as far as development, plus I really like how they integrated the social craziness of the times into the show. I am pretty sure unless Roger shoots Pete Campbell in the head and jumps out the window I will be disappointed with this season.

Goddamn I like that Zou Bisou video. Every time I open this thread to see a new reply, I watch it again.

I have to say, with Megan and the whirlwind romance/marriage, my thought has been, "Come on, she is not hot enough for Don Draper." I still feel that way to some extent but that video is bringing me around.
