I know in PA, you get a 10 day, but in the court system it is actually 30 days. After that you can go back to the courts and get the additional 30 days.

If you think you might be able, or want to pay the rent at any point in the month, I would simply speak with the landlord and see what you can work out.

They probably just hated you.

Seriously though...........there are different laws for different states but I'm assuming it was your landlord that put the note on your door
after being ONE day late but I don't see that holding much water in court.

Formal eviction processes are not a one day matter. Check with your local courthouse to see what your local process entails.
