The current nanny state we live in has several priorities. Near the top of that priority list is protecting the rights of career criminals.

We have millions of Americans who've never committed a felony yet our nanny state goes to great lengths to protect repeat felons.

sorry I should have said the country you live in. your doctor prescribing you something because they were lobbied by pharmaceuticals is just as bad if not worse than the front page advertising they do in this retarded country.

the point is they should not have a marketing budget it should all go into research unfortunately it is quite the opposite.

I thought Doctors did that in the USA as much as they do in any other country including Australia..... heck i've seen it first hand in the mental health field.

Yeah it's all bloody wrong. When I found out that many of the generic companies are partially owned by the Pfizer's and whomever else, I completely lost all faith in the whole industry, not like I'd had much to begin with. I need to find out more how the whole system actually works because when I go to the dr, and I know it's the same for quite a few of my friends, we tell them what we want or think we need. So what's the point of a Pharmaceutical Rep if the Dr isn't even going to make recommendations? And then you go buy generic anyway so the company only gets a piece of it if you even happen to buy their product. I must be missing something.
