May be leaving Ontario for a while

very nice plommer

Thanks pal, while being interviewed this morning sitting in a Smitty's restaraunt in Regina with my potential new employer he gets a phone call and leaves the table, comes back a few mins later smiling, tells me that was plommers former employer who had plenty of good things to say about him, "plommer is a good guy/employee & you'll be happy with him" were his words. That sealed the deal.

Basically my reference confirmed what I had told the new boss during our previous phone conversations.
Plommer is a straight shooter, no bs. It pays off.

Thank you Patty B. of Estevan Sask, plommer would love to buy you a beer, or three.

Blitty, haters gonna hate pal.

Boys plommer will be doing alot of what he normally does (nothing), but now he will get paid for it.

Basically the wage is $175 a day but the bonus you get is $120 a day "sub" pay for living in a camp, the sub pay is tax free.

I'll be hanging around the lease site alot but will have all the comforts available, minus the pussy, there are no hookers in the middle of nowhere.

Good luck, but what is the actual job?

It sounds like you are going to save a bunch of money.

I'm going to be driving a 15000 litre tanker truck that supplies the drilling rig with water.

The rig works 24/7 and you have to be available at anytime so living in a trailer on the drill site is required.
I can leave to go into town etc but will be "on call" via cell phone.

Basically the rigs drill for up to 3 weeks and the first day is the busy time, its a 12 hour work day, after that its only a couple hours every day.

I get paid all at once at the end of each month.
My only expense is the food I buy.
I have a full kitchen, laundry, satellite tv & internet - as well as a bath/shower, bedroom, and office.

I'm sure there will be times when I'll be bored.

Season goes from now to end of February with a week off at Christmas.

There is a minimum 6 week shutdown when spring starts. Plommer will be heading south for a few weeks.

Sounds like an inefficient market... Zero supply...

Anyone wanna start a business?

Boner, if you got a supply there is a demand.

Actually there are LOTS of Filipinas and young Thai women that are in Sask on temp work permits.
Over 90% of the counter staff/cashiers in the fast food joints here are foreigners.

Plommer is now actively seeking a young Thai/Filipine partner.

Plommer is pleased to announce the Saskatchewan experiment has officially ended.

Very happy to be back in Toronto (city of my birth and hometown).

New (and hopefully last) job starting Monday July 30, 2012 will be driving one of these bad boys in the big city:

Plommer I have a feeling I have asked you this before but I can't remember. What is the furthest north that you have gone?

Grande Prairie Alberta.

go Plommer go!

no more water boy

Pretty sure I can keep busy driving the cement truck in Toronto.

As Brock Landers reported there is plenty of construction going on in Canada's biggest city.

Is it a ready mix concrete truck or a cement truck plommer?

Congrats on the new job.

fukkin Pavy paying attention. Well played Helios!

You are correct sir, it is a ready mix truck, not a cement truck but I sometimes have to dumb it down so the masses will understand.

Thanks, pal.

:goodforyou:

Now I have to switch my commercial drivers license from Sask back to Ontario, also just received my Saskatchewan Health card - which is good for 90 days until my OHIP (Ontario) coverage re-starts.

Biggest pain in the ass will be registering my car here, has to be saftied before I can get private liability insurance.

May just sell the vehicle and take the bus to work.
