And the latest developments in the story with something for everyone: Te'o will talk to Katie Couric in an interview that will air on Thursday.
I heard a few specifics that were new to me. Actually I kind of half heard them. I may not have them right. But maybe it's more fun that way anyway:
Apparently some dude in California has confessed to perpetrating the hoax.
(To which I again reply, if you are playing a hoax on someone which involves 4 years of detailed messages and middle-of-the-night pillow talk, at some point it stopped being a hoax and the joke is on you.)
But fine, maybe that's what happened.
Now what I think I also heard was that the voice of the imaginary girlfriend that Te'o spoke to was done by not one but two - GUYS.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So whether you like to pick at Te'o for making the whole thing up, or pick at Te'o for falling for the "hoax", or pick at the perpetrator(s) for sheer prolonged loserishness or just pat yourself on the back for not being interested - it goes on.
