What's the obvious joke? Common, let's hear it.

Fucking tired of this shit. 3 fucking years ago, I had a major bump in the road and now I have done quite well. I guess all of you guys have always been rich and successful.

Grew up dirt poor, have spent adulthood to this point extremely financially irresponsible and will in all likelihood die broke.

For on the go the IPad is really hard to beat. I love my laptops and carried them around with me until I got my IPad and now when I leave the house it is always with me. Coupled with a Verizon Hot Spot you are virtually connected everywhere. Only drawback to blogging is it requires very disciplined editing on the user's part. Like with most texting if it doesn't recognize a word it will auto-correct to what it deems a suitable word which can make things make no sense.

I will caution you though that using the Hot Spot and streaming video is a bad idea unless you LOVE paying overages. Verizon doesn't offer an unlimited plan on the Hot Spot. I think it's 5 gig max and then they start charging. It sucks cause I have unlimited data on my Droid and never use it, part of that financially irresponsible thing.

I'm pretty sure you have in fact lost the bet to me.

Nevertheless, you should probably just go with a cheap notebook. I have like 23 of them around the world.

If you can afford a macbook air it is great, but i don't think it's necessary. I use mine way more than my ipad though.

I am also in the market for a new laptop, i can't believe how many computers i buy.

how do you keep track of your bets if you are always switching machines? Google Docs?

You can turn off the auto-correct in settings.

but you have to pay for the name

you're paying for a product, not the name.

it's the endless debate but Mac's are made with higher quality materials and therefore go longer before the little things begin to go wrong.

also, the learning curve is about 2 weeks for a Mac

Casper, buy a MacBookAir. You can buy the small one for $899. If you buy an iPad you'll have nothing to sync it to.
