I have seldom loaned to friends or family.
loaned some to a guy that worked for me couple yrs ago cause they were struggling in a major way due his fukd up wife.
I paid bills for him to get and keep lights, and water on. they had extension cord running from neighbors house to theirs for electricity.
2 kids living there with no water or lights. Also bought his kids Xmas that yr.
Got his truck out of impound among other things.
He never paid me back a dime to this day.
most recently:
loaned another part time helper little over 2K to pay off probation and keep him out of jail.
good guy, honest, hard worker, etc... just his girlfriend/baby momma gets shit started when they fight and he does something stupid.
but this time I took collateral.

he's been paying me back, been slower then we agreed on but he is paying
not gonna take his truck just cause he misses payments about every other week.
I understand struggles with working for a wage and taking care of kids. as long as he makes an effort to pay then I'm cool with it.
only owes about $700 now.
guess ya could say I'm loaning my X $$$ also. So she has a car and can get to and fro work.
gave her car with weekly payment terms but not even getting into that shit
probably never loan money to anyone again though...
besides giving my current helper $20 here and there during the week but I dont ask for it back or take it out of check.

I've been lending money on and off for years to an online poker buddy. I've always gotten paid back with a nice chunk of interest on top. Sometimes it takes a little bit too long to get paid but I have a dedicated BR for online poker that I've never usually touch so it's not like I'm missing the $$$ in fact the account has grown over the years because of all the lending.
I'm eagerly awaiting the open of Full Tilt Poker now as I have another few hundo that has been tied up on there for a year and a half.

got the midnight call.
another 1 of my guys is in the county blues... due to another psycho conniving girlfriend.
was just telling him today he needs to separate his self from her shit and all the drama that surrounds her
domestic violence = got to see the judge in most cases = they find out he's on probation for a BUI ( boating under the influence
)
= probation hold = 30 days in the counties hotel
options...
he gets lucky and they post a bond on him w/out seeing judge.
in that case I'll help a brother out and post his bail before a hold is put on him
goes to court, judge puts hold on. only way to get out is pay off probation (approx $1200) = sorry man, your great help and I need ya on my jobs but its now against my religion to stick my neck that far out anymore.
I'll talk with PO for him and do what I can but thats all.
