Is outback steak house overrated ?

never really cared for outback think all their steaks are just over priced.

I just saw a commercial for longhorn steak house where they stuff lobster inside a steak ! how fucking awesome is that .....never been but going tonight.

Always had a good steak at Outback (Aussie fries a meal in itself) but after last time couple months ago won't be back for probably quite a long while if ever! Hadn't been there probably in a year or so but new neighbor next door wanted to go cause of the TV advertised special (prime rib and tail)!

Tail looked fine but the 3 PRs didn't even look like a prime rib steak! By the way my 20 oz porterhouse was perfect! Just don't order specials is my feeling but what these pieces of meat looked like was unreal! Even though my steak was great anyone buying that special had to be very disappointed! IMO you lose more customers trying to serve food like that no matter how inexpensive it is!

damn cougs with fancy plates and everything...something the gf bought is my guess...:goodforyou: . haha ... outback is good for those cheese fries and bloomin onion...can get a better steak for half the price at your local market
 
I wouldn't call Outback overrated since no one I know rates it very highly. It's fine for what it is: a family restaurant

It really shouldn't even be called a steakhouse. In my mind, a steakhouse is a different animal.

My recommendation: if you want a steakhouse, go to a steakhouse.
