monkeys should look out for each other :donthinkso:
They can use semi-automatic hunting rifles then. I think the public is sick of the NRA preaching the rights of the constitution while 14 shootings occur in chicago on Christmas Eve and day.
Right.........just make guns illegal like cocaine and heroin. If there is no market for a certain type of weapon due to being illegal to own in a few years there will be no market for the same weapon in the illegal market because there will be no source to obtain the legal weapon by theft and then sell it illegally.
Nonsense. As long as there is a demand there will always be a supply because as long as someone wants something there will always be those seeking to profit from supplying it. It is beyond absurd to think that by banning guns that people with connections to obtain guns will not exploit their opportunity to profit from supplying the demand.I own guns sharpcat. I'm just saying the laws of supply and demand will dictate whether a certain weapon being deemed illegal to own will still exist in any market. You don't see any criminals using tommy guns anymore do you?
Right.........just make guns illegal like cocaine and heroin.
Make guns harder to obtain and the criminals will only want them more.
I really need to start carrying around a bag of magic beans to sell to all of these idiots who think they can change the world.
Maybe some of the foreign posters on here could chime in on their countries gun control laws I havent it on the news but who knows.
You forgot Mexico.Change the world? So what countries in the world are wanting to adopt Americas gun culture? Canada, Norway,Australia, Japan, where? I havent seen other countries debating the merits of flooding their nations streets with firearms vs intrusive government or debating the merits of easy accessibility to firearms that US citizens possess. Maybe some of the foreign posters on here could chime in on their countries gun control laws, I havent much debate on gun control from foreign countries the news so it would be interesting to hear peoples opinions on their own nations gun laws and their success or failure
The results have not been what proponents of the act wanted. Within a decade of the handgun ban and the confiscation of handguns from registered owners, crime with handguns had doubled according to British government crime reports. Gun crime, not a serious problem in the past, now is. Armed street gangs have some British police carrying guns for the first time. Moreover, another massacre occurred in June 2010. Derrick Bird, a taxi driver in Cumbria, shot his brother and a colleague then drove off through rural villages killing 12 people and injuring 11 more before killing himself.

In 2008, the Australian Institute of Criminology reported a decrease of 9% in homicides and a one-third decrease in armed robbery since the 1990s, but an increase of over 40% in assaults and 20% in sexual assaults.
Pal if you think proliferation of legal guns does not lead to easier access legal or illegal![]()
