No, but you did say that he must be highly functioning in order to be going to school. I don't think that most people realize that special education has changed quite a bit over the last couple of decades. A child doesn't need to be high functioning to be in a general education classroom for most of the day.

Can you elaborate on this? I realise it's not like what we saw growing up but I'm truly not sure what special ed consists of today. Thinking back to the stuff I remember from grade school and even high school, it was pretty mortifying. I'm just curious how it is now.

This is the only country in the world that is obsessed with a 200+ year old document. Many countries re-write theirs often.
i would first ask you to define "re-write" and "regularly." we add/change/redefine amendments here in the usa, and the system in place for doing that is meant to be a difficult process to keep the constitution from being reworked willy-nilly and especially to keep it from being managed during emotional times such as this instance.

the one thing that scares the bejesus outta' me and many other gun owners, speaking on this issue solely, is how it seems that EVERYTHING the feds have gotten involved in the past 40 years or so has been a disaster. the one thing that donkeys and elephants could agree on near-unanimously this past congressional session was the ndaa, and that completely trampled on the constitution. if anything, a "re-write" at this stage should first start with junking the vast majority of the regulations that have come down from federal, state and local levels the past 25 years.

it's no longer just the classroom of physically and mentally handicapped students. some of that is good, i.e., physically handicapped kids with the ability to function in regular classroom environments are in those classrooms. the bad part is we're combining kids with true mental/learning disabilities with kids who have behavioral issues.

No need to take the guns away from law abiding citizens. I don't want the government to tell me how to protect my family. If someone tried to harm me I want to be able to use my weapons to defend myself because by the time I call 911 it's going to be too late.

My Facebooks are flooded with some pretty insightful shit lately!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The semi-automatic only shoots one bullet at a time. It doesn't shoot any faster than a bolt action rifle or a pump action shotgun. In fact a hand gun shoots faster than all of the above and I see no one wanting to ban them.

Something has to change, the size of the magazine or whatever. There are too many people running around like they are Rambo with 3-4 guns shooting up public places.
