I take blood pressure pills.....I think not taking them would hurt my lifespan.
Hey.Judgmental, .you can't call out pills and not booze or other drugs.
While not a drug, I am doing something pseudo scientific for health reasons. I tire myself by keeping my brainwave frequencies in the high beta range. This is good for productivity but has a host of nasty side effects. To counter this I have gone to binaural beats.
This is brainwave entrainement. You have a sine wave of sound at a certain frequency in one headphone. Another wave of a constant frequency slightly different than the other is through the other headphone. The difference is what the brain will catch and slowly migrate its brainwave frequency to it if it can. I created my own programs through Audacity, and meditate to more easily calm down.
I stay awake longer and have a better quailty of life by this meditation. While not pills, it is a type of medicating to deal with your problems
Used to have depression ( but never took meds for it as didnt Want To be dependent on them) but finding something I'm passionate about has changed that.
Loving the challenge of it all and is seriously the best medication one can take...
I like to drink. I just started taking Zoloft about a year and a half ago, but I always forget to take them, so I guess it's kind of moot. whatever.
