Excellent thread

I'm definitely NOT a hat guy but I'm definitely going to get into them when I hit 50

I think a guy who's 50+ can look real sharp with the right hat

The tough part is, he can also look like a gigantic tool box if he doesn't wear the proper hat

BayBud please stick around for another 11 years so I can pick your brain when I enter my Hat Phase

I like this hat:

plommer, didn't i once see a photo of you in a bowler?

i've wanted one for a while, but the mrs. says it makes my face look even fatter and god knows i don't need that.

further proof that bowlers are not for everyone...

file this one under how NOT to wear a hat. maybe he bought it a size too big in case his head swelled with the delusions that he actually has some talent. :lmao: never liked that prick

N.W.H. is one of my favorite rap groups ever (Niggaz With Hats)

nice, I gonna start wearing hats. What's there to lose?

good thread

guy can play every instrument on the stage
untalented????

yes, untalented. people with talent buy hats that fit correctly. i knew kids in 5th grade who could go from instrument to instrument, and all of us also had the talent to know when a hat fit us properly.

david lindley is the most talented man to ever play the strings. ever. give him two pieces of string nailed to a 2x4, and he will produce. His only shortcoming is never wearing cool hats, at least from all the times i've seen him.

If you are referring to that pic that Buztah posted showing him with a blonde dude wearing a hat that was not me.

I just played along.

Say hello to Buzzy for me when you chat with him next time.

man, i haven't talked to that dude in a while, maybe a couple of months before i made my exit from the other site. if i do hear from him, i'll pass along your greetings.

Bay Bud,
Do you think I would look good in this hat?
Is it one of those pork hats?
I'm thinking of getting a hat. Can you wear this hat with shorts? If not, what goes with this hat?
hard to say what that hat is, would need to see the top of it to i.d. it as a pork pie. start out with a straight rat-pack fedora and go from there.

Hi Bay Bud,

Your case is very well presented, no dapper gent should leave home without the proper hat. I, unfortunately spend literally hours per day on my hair and would hate to detract attention from my gorgeous locks. Also, my pumpkin is monstrously large and bulbous which tends to dwarf most hats. Any suggestions for stylishly accessorizing my dome?

Best regards,

Shannon

p.s. kindly do not suggest anything of this ilk:

dear shannon,

first i would try and whittle down those 'hours each day' on messing with your hair. that time can be better spent drinking.

and yes, you do have a large noggin, so whatever style you pick then i would recommend a narrow brim as opposed to a wide brim.

no, i don't think the bowler, which looks a lot like that on mr. tater head, to be best for you. if you're serious about getting a nice hat, have the mrs. join you next time you're in the s.a. area and go to paris hatters downtown alamo city. good selection and you can pick a crease that's best for you.

hope all is well with you and the guys down in c.r. you still practicing your chipping around the office?
