The best way to go about Internet baseball team WAR is to not have a team that you're a fan of. This way, when you attack the personnel moves of another team, no one can come back and cite bad trades/bad baseball business moves that YOUR team has made in the past.

It's a win/win, boys.

And to be clear, I hate many decisions that the Marlins FO have made in the past (they are terrible in the draft and they have bought high/sold low many times).

With that said, their moves at the deadline were not a fire sale. Not even close. But it was an easy story for lazy baseball writers.

They were selling - whether you want to call it a fire sale or not.

The win/win is knowing what the fuck you're talking about. That's why you lose/lose.

This was a terrible response to my post.

Let me hold your hand though this.:smooch:

You don't have a team, son. So there's no way anyone can question your teams front office decisions.

I guess the Phillies also had a fire sale because 2/3 of their outfield is gone.

I'm not going to around in circles with this.

Please go out and get laid. It will get your mind off of me AND the Marlins.

Marlins and the Phillies had a fire sale.

Looks like on paper true, but what made the parallel different was the Marlins were not quite so far from the 2nd wildcard spot while only diehard Phils fans ( myself included ) thought they had a chance!

If someone could look at the dates the "fire sale" moves were made relating to the respective teams position in the playoff race! Could be wrong? Phils sales were very late and Blanton even went during waivers!
