Daffy..... just admit you were wrong!!!!
I see you edited your post because you found MORE damaging posts.
Well played.
I will say this.......You have a LOT of time on your hands.
Buehrle is still decent though!!!!!!
Well worth $58 million.
The best way to go about Internet baseball team WAR is to not have a team that you're a fan of. This way, when you attack the personnel moves of another team, no one can come back and cite bad trades/bad baseball business moves that YOUR team has made in the past.
It's a win/win, boys.
And to be clear, I hate many decisions that the Marlins FO have made in the past (they are terrible in the draft and they have bought high/sold low many times).
With that said, their moves at the deadline were not a fire sale. Not even close. But it was an easy story for lazy baseball writers.
only have paid him a bit over 5 million at this point, not a bad investment.... have your forgotten already? Marlins didn't intend to pay those contracts. It was all just a lure to sell those season tix. bait and switch
Another contract that they'll probably have to eat (at least some) though.
Mark Buehrle's WAR
2009 5.0
2010 3.6
2011 3.5
2012 2.3
Well worth $58 million.
They were selling - whether you want to call it a fire sale or not.
The win/win is knowing what the fuck you're talking about. That's why you lose/lose.
Marlins and the Phillies had a fire sale.
Marlins and the Phillies had a fire sale.
If the Marlins and Phillies had a fire sale this year, how would you describe what Wayne Huzienga did to the Marlins following their World Championship in 1997?
