Well, day four and day five were rather uneventful.
I still have a little cough, but it doesn't hurt like it did. I went through as stressful of a day as possible yesterday with 14 hours of action. While Auburn and LSU both gave me thoughts of saying "fuck it," I managed to stay on track.
The progression of my cravings has gone like this in under a week:
1. I NEED A MOTHER FUCKING CIGARETTE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
2. I should be having a cigarette right now. Where is my pack? Oh yeah. I'm trying to quit.
3. Hmm. A cigarette would be nice right now. No. I quit.
4. Meh. Cigarette? Meh.
Subtle changes:
I can smell things a lot better even though that's not always a good thing. I needed a ton of liquids the past couple of days, and I find myself spitting a lot as my mouth is seemingly used to being dehydrated by smoke. The twitching and joint weirdness has subsided as well.
It seems I'm on track. I'm not about to call it a success yet, however.
