Firstly, who thinks this would be a good idea??

A particular model that comes to mind would include a minimum of 12 top gambling posters form single thread where they'd have to release a minimum of 4 plays annually (they would be only the strongest plays after all) or make plays at their own discretion (imo nothing worse than HAVING to make plays every round/day).

Additional consensus plays where at least one third of members are in agreeance of a play. Again, there would have to be no 'air of expectation' to make plays.

Spot betting in this manner would ensure (statistically anyway) the group would yield stronger results in the longterm. Just trying to think +EV.

Besides, it would create more traffic as we'd actually be doing what one would primarily do at a sports gambling website (not to break up any niches amongst us).

So shout out and loud, i wanna hear what others have to say...
 
Xpy I don't think it's a good idea only because it sounds like something they already do across the street and we've had versions of it before.

Right now there is a "best bet" thread stickied in the forum.

The only way to get this to work is to get Bread onboard first. You'll need him to explain it as being so anti-cool it's actually trendy or you would need to get Cali back and not only have her moderate the thread but do so live-cam style in the buff or you would have to have those kids from Seffner, "Cado and crew" participating.

Expy, what's the agenda behind this? You're missing Coug's and trying to find a way to get him back?

Expy I personally like the general idea of a collaborative effort but your best chance of getting participation is to round up FightingIrish, PapasGeorge and Casper. Well you can grab Plommer too but only with a guarantee of a handjob.
 
When I see an idea like this - as I have many many times over my years on forums - I have a kneejerk reaction to get on board. I make money capping year in and year out and I feel like I could be a useful part of an effort like this. I want to say - and sometimes I have said - "Okay! I'm doing it! Here we go!"

But it never sticks. There are a bunch of reasons but the bottom line is it never sticks for me. No sense pretending I'll do it this time.

Good luck to those who do though.
 
I would do it for major markets like NFL/NBA. I think some would be hesitant for CFB/CBB/FUT. I doubt much will come of it though as it's kind of the antithesis of what to do with an edge but major markets we are minnows so it's all good to me at least.

I would also put it in secret zone to cut down on noise levels. But if it starts to resemble something like that circle jerk posse of idiots across the way it will turn into <30 seconds a day i spend over there too.

Wal, only agenda here is helping make myself and others some coin from this. As we all know books have the advantage from the outset so if we can attempt to swing the pendulum back in our favour as a group then im up for it. Wal i am no ubertype-capitalist and those that know me say im more a utilitarian type capitalist (whatever that means) so just wanted to ensure you that there's no agenda driven solely for self here...

To the others sitting on the fence i can only say watch this space. To reiterate, no pressure on anyone to do anything. Maybe a cap of 10 plays for each player per year be put in place to ensure quality of picks over quantity?

Pavy, i hear ya and yes ur right. Thinking smart is the easiest way to come out of this in the positive but even they had to lay the groundwork in before their trees began bearing fruit.
