Hahahaha it does.

Hey I have a cat question. Lately I have been seeing a number of commercials and videos where the cat is walking around on the kitchen table. Not sure I can wrap my head around this. Can you train cats to stay off certain pieces of furniture or do they pretty much do what they want?

You can easily ssssssssshhhhhhh a cat into submission. They'll stay away from the top of the table, or wherever you don't want them to go, after a handful of stern warnings.

Unless you're my wife-to-be and your voice is way too soft to scare a cat.

How hard can it be to make a terrifying SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound?

I just tried and I think I could probably do it pretty well. Good to know. Thanks Matty.

What NOT to Do

  • Do not scold your cat verbally, spank her or hit her for getting on countertops and tables. Its highly unlikely that this kind of punishment will teach her to stay off. More likely, shell just become frightened of you.
  • Do not shoo or push your cat off countertops and tables. She could fall and injure herself.
  • Do not use any device to scare your cat away from forbidden areas if theres a chance she could be physically harmed by the device. For instance, do not substitute real mousetraps for the Snappy Trainer. The point of an environmental punisher is to make your cat reluctant to return to a particular place. The intent is to startle her or make the place uncomfortable for her. There is no reason to physically harm your cat.
  • Do not use environmental punishers to keep your cat away from a certain area if shes especially skittish and nervous. She may become so frightened that shell be reluctant to enter the room at all or even move around your home.

This advice is a little ghey.

That cat loves me.

Raptors and Argos have no leaves.

The Argos logo might be the only non-ghey logo Toronto has.
