It's supposed to be "for all intents and purposes?' How embarrassing - I have been saying it wrong for years. I thought it was supposed to be about when you are addressing marine species and people who like to go camping. I have been saying:

for all in tents and porpoises.

Ugh, how did I ever hang out there? This is just an SBR thing, though, right? People aren't doing this in the real world, are they?

Matty, wtf you talking about? Who uses dominate as an adjective?

MrX
That's what I was thinking. Never heard it. Matty is slipping, anyway, it's obvious these last couple days.

I think that AlldayJ owns the only two occurrences here at Gamelive, but it was used all the time at SBR as Bread pointed out. I thought it was a fancy English word at first.

Doesn't annoy me even remotely as much as could of/would of/should of though. I dunno why that one irks me that much - I read how people defended its usage by saying that that's how it was pronounced anyway. Now I don't pretend to speak English or anything, but that seems wrong as well.

I need my underpants to be pulled on much harder. Dorkmeister much.

I felt badly after learning some of you guys actually said 'intensive purposes' so I went on a bit of a Google hunt. Apparently that's a common mistake which I didn't know. I always just though my old boss was a dolt.

I also came across some dude ranting about 'walking on eggshells' because the phrase should actually be 'walking on eggs' since eggs are fragile whereas the shells obviously are not. Now I feel silly because I've never thought of that before.

People also routinely mispronounce Valentine's Day as Valentimmmme's Day, also people say "Quesedillllllla" instead of "Quesdeeeya"

Oh oh one more "Warrrrshington" instead of Wasssshington

God there are some really dumb people out there
