I don't know if anybody enjoys any of it. I wish the forum could go back to the way it was in the early days when everyone was engaged on a good level. It's a shame that there apparently is little of substance left to talk about between all of us.

There's a big difference between a playful jab and a personal attack, particularly when it comes to someone you know on a more personal level than just typing words over wires.

But I suppose much of it has to do with the dynamics of the personalities who post here.

i have given up on that reno. sad to give up hope. still love gamelive though, shit man, a lot has gone down though.

Plommer, there were an assorted number of reasons. What you did just happened to be the icing on the cake. I can roll with most punches, but I have always been guarded when it comes to my livelihood. Not everything is a mystery to be uncovered at gamelive.

I know that this thread isn't about me, so I apologize, but I want to make this clear. I realize that I have shared far too much about my personal life with a message board of people who, for the most part, thoroughly enjoy witnessing the hardship of others. I've been going through a pretty difficult time the past ten months and outside a few who feel the need to corral information for the sake of gossip to be shared on other message boards, I can count on one hand those who have contacted me privately to see how I'm doing. I know that I'm the only one to blame and I'm pretty mad at myself for failing to keep a clear divide between online banter and my personal life.

Interesting. Would you consider yourself culpable among those "people who, for the most part, thoroughly enjoy witnessing the hardship of others?" I tend to believe that it's part of human nature and highly pervasive in our society. You don't have to look much further than celebrity in America. From Michael Jackson to Britney Spears. From Charlie Sheen to drawing pictures of Steve Irwin getting gored by a ray. Everyone loves a trainwreck and everyone loves to talk about it. It certainly doesn't seem to be limited to Gamelive.

That said, I'm not privvy to the details of your situation nor do I care to be. Your business is your business and if you want to (and I think you should) keep it private then by all means you should. I've actually never understood the social networking experiment that goes on here anyway, and honestly, I thought that announcement was all just a joke for quite a while.

In any case, do whatever you need to do for you. If it needs to be without Gamelive, we understand. We'll miss you, but we'll understand.
 
Robyn, I don’t know what’s going on but I hope whatever it is that’s caused this stuff works itself out. You are a huge part of this community (dysfunctional or not community that it is) and your presence here is looked forward too.

Outside of GameLive though and more importantly I hope life returns a smile to your heart. Sorry I thought everything that was going on was some kind of online joke.

I believe there may have been some misunderstanding as well.

I'll echo the thought, that I never really paid a ton of "real" attention to the threads dealing with marital situations and assumed it was just online shanigans... I think in large part because I remember you posting a picture of Bread's tight rounded buttocks while he aired his balls out in front of some AC unit in a hotel shortly after the initial hub bub.

I don't think it's anymore part of human nature than the exact opposite. There's a capacity for it. But I would agree that some here go out of their way to bring up some bs about strangers celebs etc... I can do without all that.
