Worry and take care of #1 Stevie. I don't mean to sound like a prick, but it's time for you to man up and take control of things. 1st step. Get rid of her and start to feel happy again. I know deep down inside that you're not happy about this situation.

You see here is the deal. No man or woman should ever have to hide from their partner. EVER!!! Negative people really bother me. I can't be around them. one of my wife's sisters is the most negative person in the world, but I put my foot down and read her the riot act one day and told her to take her nagative attitude alsewhere and to never show up at my house if she is in one of her typical shitty moods. Negative people just want to bring other people down to their level. Get rid of her now Stevie!!!

She has a big upside too and has been there at very crucial points in my life. Honestly I also would not be back in school pursuing a degree without her, among so many other good things.

She DOES all of these good things, BUT her natural tendency, at least anymore, is to be negative and stagnant; the weird part is she keeps doing the great the nice and good things though...

Stevie, I wish you the best of luck, but negotiating to make it work is the 2nd last nail in the coffin. Watch your back, get your financials in order and make sure your do the best to minimize any losses she may take you for. My thoughts will be with you buddy.

You shouldn't have to negotiate to make a relationship work. They either do or they don't.

Sit down (without the computer and cell phone) and think for a minute. Do you really show her that you appreciate all of the nice and kind and generous things you claim she does for you and for other people? Or do you just assume she knows so you don't have to vocalize it. Women are needy creatures but the good ones are not hard to maintain. We don't need to constantly hear how great we clean the house or how wonderful the meatloaf tastes. If you aren't taking the time to make her feel appreciated because you are so busy with your work, it could be something as simple as her feeling neglected, which is very easily rectified.

Hah that's true Robyn it is because we are so busy among other reasons I will probably post at some point remotely soon because we just finalized things tonight and to be honest I am a little beat up right now. We have been together for 9 years and engaged for 5. I do love the girl but we both know it is time. I know the next few months or whatever will totally suck but I guess as much as I complain about how much I work and how demanding work and school are together, I can just totally commit myself to it and move myself forward how I need to. Would have loved to have her along for the ride, life does not always provide what you want though you have to make it happen yourself.
