Some bad weather with high winds expected through the area tonight! Course is short in length and officials were hoping for fast greens to combat the length to keep scores around Even par as most US Opens are!

But even if greens are slower than usual the wet rough will probably be impossible to get out of let alone get on the green in regualtion! So hitting it straight off the tee will be a top priority with putting not as vastly important as normally is in this tourny! Just what I have heard on the local coverage! :dunno:

Greens look like they were relatively fast Thursday and now today too! Lucky that local area got nowhere near the amount of rain that was expected last night! Radio guy last night who walked course said USGA officials had groundkeepers cut rough slightly lower than usual event standards cause of rain threat!

Bumped along with all weekend golfers that enjoy seeing the pros not hit the ball more than 10 yards sometimes out of the tall rough with a full swing! I think that was what Daft's post was implying! True test!

If you're watching any of the golf, this course is a logistics nightmare for getting anybody and everybody in and out of that area! It's situated right outside the city of Philly and more or less in a neighborhood of a small town!

You won't see the normal 50K galleries on the weekend cause they can only crammed I heard 25K in at the most! The total acreage of the club is really small! That 13th hole being only 120 yards makes you think you could go out and give it a shot!

Not a Phil fan at all but not winning this event yet after choking that one year, probably rooting him to be there on Sunday and win it! Early but not many big names it seems near the top! Projected cut has gone from +3 to now +4! Tiger better be careful!

poor scores all around, really surprised Scott isnt doing better

after this week, scott only has 10 more chances to ever win another major... he will be the single most effected person by the no-anchored putter rule that goes into effect in 2016... im quite happy to see the rule... feel bad for the kid as ive never seen a player of his caliper have the yips as bad as him at such a young age.

Good to hear from you BGS! As short as some holes appear, others can be brutally long! Missing today's action for work but proving to be a tough test so far!

Wonder if they went to 3 man groups to have time to get course in best shape possible? Luv to see Tiger and Phil at it on Sunday!
