she was found guilty on a few counts of lying to the police...
but the sentencing wasn't until today or yesterday

Why isn't there a criminal statute for failing to report your 2 year old missing for 31 days?

She has never been charged with manslaughter in this has she? I know they won't but theoretically couldn't the prosecution charge her with that? Since it would be a new charge double jeopardy shouldn't apply.
