The brewers are a strange team, sort of remind of the orioles this year, I would they would be way undervalued throughout the year until greinke gets back to full speed.

While Axford is pretty craptastic, every baseball team loses games they should have won because of their closers. Bullpens are chock full of guys that can't cut it in a rotation.

Closers aren't expected to save every game. However, closers are typically the best of the bullpen.

He was one of the top 10 relievers last year, hopefully for him this is just a blip. However, I don't think he can be any worse than their starting closer last year.

Yeah. They've had bad luck with closers since they let Cordero go. Eric Gagne. Trevor Hoffman. John Axford.

He only had a handful (well half of a year anyway) of closing opportunities last year, though. I think they need someone that's proven. He doesn't look anything like last year right now.

Baseball Prospectus predicts that the Brewers will be competing in the (albeit not very competitive) NL Central while the Pirates won't finish above .500. However, the Pirates have a better chance of finishing over .500 than the Brewers do of winning the division (and Milwaukee will probably need to win the division to get into the post season).

Not really, but it's a good prediction although random variation (along with any trade moves) might mean that the Brewers can get those three extra wins to win the division and the Pirates can get those three extra wins to get to .500.
