Why do you think RR stated he would have to be within driving distance of a new player! Plus he stated he passed Sov over to his associate so feels slightly responsible! Plus he stated how Sov gave the impression he had life by the balls and now can't even give the courtesy of showing his face and working a payment plan out!

I always liked Sov posting here but common guy ...... have no problem with RR giving a head's up on posters who possibly can't be trusted! Yes, it's the internet Matty but I always thought our wonderful small group here was different in that way than the other ones! Maybe I'm naive and cynical at the same time! :dunno:

I don't think SoV ever gave the impression he had life by the balls. He mentioned before he was a foreign student with a student visa and his options for employment opportunities outside campus are restricted. I doubt he will call his parents and ask them for an additional $500 on top of his tuition and campus expenses to pay his gambling debt to someone stupid who gave him a credit line over the internet without ever meeting him. The bookie shouldn't have extended credit to someone who is basically jobless.
 
and i understand that you think some stuff should be kept off the forum and i agree...no problems... i just dont want to see my friends being fooled by a kid running amok with stupid shit that doesnt hold water after he stiffs someone... stiffs will always get outed, its part of the forum game.

How did he come up with money to fund a 5 dimes account (if it did happen)? It's not like the kid is a minor, there needs to be accountability on his end to call the book and explain.

the guy spends 12 hrs a day in chat and posts all over the forums...runs his credit to the max in a few days and stops answering the phone...the first time i told him to contact the guy, he did...that was weeks ago and not a peep since...no forums, no chat, phone off... i dont give a fuck if your entire family tree dies at a reunion, you arent too busy to send a simple text saying you need to work out a plan...

the purpose of the thread was for sov to see that its not worth running and hiding and ruining his online friendships over... chat and forums etc. were/are a big part of the guys life...now thats pretty much done and it doesnt have to be... he fully expected to take a ton of shit for stiffing and he is getting it...only time will tell if he is man enough to make an effort at clearing this up... good day :venditto:

I like Matty's posts here. Sov seemed like some kid with an English accent. That was the extent of his "persona".
Businesses who extend credit take a calculated risk and hardly deserve sympathy if their gamble does not pay off.
They are not loaning money as a personal favor for a friend. Perhaps you can create a bookie credit rating service.

Ray, if you think somebody needs to call their bookie after their family tree died at a reunion you might need a vacation.
 
I was stiffed a couple thousand dollars from Betus. Run up a $1,000 deposit to $8,000 after I rolled over the bonus and they only paid me $6,000. And that was after 6 months with one $1,000 payment every month. I knew it was a D book before I played.

The point is SoV was probably a D- in credit worthiness on a scale of A to F so the agent or bookie who hooked him up with the credit line was taking a risk especially if no one ever met him, saw his picture or new his FB was fake. We all found out about who Mantei's girlfriend really was. Don't trust anyone online.
 
Blitty, if I remember correctly, SoV was always looking for ways to make a buck. He sounded BARRELED IN. IMO, Wally.

I mean, then he allegedly stiffed over a nickel.
