also going by regular season I think you could make a good case that pitt was the best team
 
some feedback:

1)getting to the NHL playoffs is tough? You're far too kind.

2)florida isn't even a good team. Devils would be the team classified as good in that series. Southeast is a joke of a division and Florida is barely even playoff-quality, but since we have this awful division setup, year after year we see the seeding out of whack. Three best teams in one division, while the Southeast didn't have a team that was among the top 6, objectively.

3)I think you meant "being objective" with the kings series

4)I agree that nashville/detroit is the toughest series to call. three that shouldn't have happened in the first round: la/vancouver (la should've never been the 8 seed), pitt/philly (best team in hockey against third best in the east in the first round, that's messed up), and nashville/detroit (two of the top four teams in the west, behind vancouver but right there with st. louis)
