80% gambling stuff, 10% computer stuff, 5% math stuff, 5% other. I periodically clean them out and print what is useful and junk the rest. I just did that a couple of days ago so this is what i have currently:

With Google Chrome remembering and giving weight to your most visited sites you don't need traditional bookmarks. Ctrl+T +first 2 letters +Enter and you could be going to your site in less than 2 seconds.

Ctrl+T +g +Enter gets me to GameLive as GameLive is my most visited g site.

Ctrl+T +tr +Enter gets me to translate.google.com, takes me 1 second.

I just use bookmark bar as visual reminders.

"Other bookmarks" for specific content like mrmarket does.

no bueno... as soon as I hit Ctrl T it started to open crazy amounts of tabs. How do I make it work properly?

To get here I just click on the little button thingie to open a new tab, type "g" then hit Enter. Voil, Hooligans Talk.

Yeah, it's habit forming. If you do it with Ctrl+T you eliminate a step. Your brain adjust to this habit and once you got it the keyboard becomes a mental bookmark. I can open 4 sites in 5 seconds. When distracted sometimes I remember the pattern instead of what I'm suppose to do on the site making me go to it.

It's so ingrained that when I'm sitting next to someone on a pc it can be frustrating watching them navigate slowly. It's real and it's by design.

It a related note, this site has good articles on design and the brain. http://www.nirandfar.com
