Guy was found guilty on most counts. Will do life.

I wonder what level of federal pen he gets sent to. I don't think he is really a danger to himself or other inmates.. Could be club fed. Then again he is now a multiple child rapist...

It really seemed like one of the most slam-dunk, no-doubt, no-brainer trials and convictions of all time. I wonder why there was no plea bargain. I'm sure the defence knew they were cooked. The prosecution could have gotten basically what they got and saved the expense of the long trial.

I'm thinking the prosecution must have refused any kind of deal because they wanted the public show of justice (and victory). Something like that.

Anyone hear anything about that?

Yeah. I'm sure there was offers, there always is. But when one side has all the leverage at the bargaining table it doesn't make sense for them to cede any ground. The public display of justice is just one factor in a prosecutors decision to settle, you have to be VERY confident in your case to let this rule the decision as any small % that a jury doesn't convict could absolutely ruin a career. After all a jury is just 12-14 people. Plus at some point the uncertainty of a jury trial is the best bet for a criminal defendant.

I am glad for the outcome.
I think a big reason they made a huge national trial out of it is was to show that the town doesn't accept that type of behavior and will
put it to an end. make an example out of him basically.

I also don't understand why they make such ridiculous sentence, just give the life, no chance of parole, or the death sentence cuz
you know his ass is going to die in there.

I would love to see him in solitary confinement for 90 days while they decide his time. The day after he gets the sentence,he can kill himself, but he has to meet his accusers and their families first. Save the Penn taxpayers a whole lot of money and let this guy feel guilt when he kills himself.
