Are we safe from a virus attack ? I ended up renewing my expired McAfee subscription in panic. And when it did not work, had to download another anti-malware software.

Yes we are. Decided it was best to lose two days of post and go completely clean than trying to fix the problem. We are patched up too to the latest version.
