I agree. People get way too territorial about these internet forums. If your product is that far superior, why does it even matter that people are visiting a $25 Bulletin Board? To intentionally attack another website in hopes to inflict permanent or temporary damage, well that's just evil in my eyes. I would never in my wildest dream wish that upon anyone. Well, except for child pornography sites.

Wow, all I can really say to this is that I'm reminded just how varied and manifold are the ethical constructs in this country. In my eyes, DDOS'ing RBS would be the quintessential form of a proportional response. They ruined a good thing for me on the internet, so why not inconvenience and embarass them for a few days on the internet? It's in no way like snitching, I'm not involving an outside authority. It may be a little like slashing tires, but it wouldn't be the first time I did that either. Sometimes a conflict requires a far more delicate response than getting in somebody's face and waving a bat around. That's the kind of shit that the knuckle-draggers do, and very little ever comes of it in my experience.

Glad to know where you guys stand on this stuff, though. Sorry you find me evil, Robyn, and that you find me unmanly, Pat. Judge not lest ye be judged...

Well that explains a lot. Just curious what kind of things people did that provoked an urge to slash their tires? Did it make you feel better? Most who constantly feel victimized and are constantly out for revenge will be unhappy people, it's no way to live. People who feel this way do far more damage to themselves than they do their adversaries, it's like drinking a bottle of Drano and hoping John gets sick. It doesn't work. And BTW I'm not judging you, if anything I've been a distant fan, I think you write well and will put it all out there, I enjoy those type of posters. This thought process of taking down forums/slashing tires actually surprised me, I think you're better than this.
