I see Anne Hathaway is co-hosting the Oscars this year. If the commercials are any indication we can expect a lot of obvious, telegraphed gags delivered in a ham-handed manner. Can't hardly wait.

No but seriously man, I have had enough Anne Hathaway. I don't actually want her to die but maybe she could go away for like 10 years and after that we could take a fresh look at things.
 
James Franco is the other co-host. I don't know what to make of that. Pretty good actor, and he comes across as a decent guy in interviews, but I sure never would have thought of him if I was making a list of hosting candidates. Where did that come from?

Then again I never would have thought of Hugh Jackman.

Few weeks ago caught a special about him. Learned quite a bit. Did you know when casting for The Deer Hunter he had advanced stages of his cancer, and the studio did not want him because it would be too much to insure him. All the other actors really wanted him. So I guess Bob DeNiro put up the dough to get him insured and take a chance that they might have to reshoot all his scenes should something happen. That's pretty heavy.

Plus he married Meryl freakin' Streep for God's sake.
