went to a cuban restaurant today, what laughable food, ordered a couple of dishes to taste them out, nothing like the real thing

yes miami is where you find real cuban food

right before leaving I saw a documentary of the chages Raul is doing, he is doing the right moves, you got to like what he is doing. for people like us that like the hybrid socialist capitalist corrupt style of the chinese, it is great, hope to go there soon. so the documentaty talked about that there are lots of cafeterias and restaurantes that are getting started because now they are free start their own business, but most of them are not lasting because it's so hard to gather all the necessary ingredients for the dishes. little by little more money will come in, and the industry will expand but right now they struggle even to make authentic cuban food in cuba for the masses.

those chains always suck, like that chipotle mexican grill :lmao:

the mom and pop restaurants is where it's at

i actually had some great meals in cuba. at people's houses, i think they were called paladares, and the places i would stay in people's houses they would make incredible huge meals for me every time. i couldn't believe given the lack of food everywhere that they would serve so much. lobster, shrimp, etc, with salads, and of course rice and beans etc.

but the fees they charged people to do this i think wiped out almost all of their chance to profit anything.

was talking to a branch manager today, was telling him how i used to do it, just with la razon social empresarial which is something like the articles of incorporation was enough and they didn't even checked ids no sig required, just la razon's number with an ink stamp to sig all the papers, he almost laughed in my face, the easy days are long gone

also i found out acciones al portador are long gone in panama too, basically beares shares if you had possession of the actual document you were the owner of the corp accounts assets etc, no names no registry, those used to be easy too

:(
