Dunno. Without looking things up, the only two I can name are Halle Gebrselassie on the left who used to run long distance for Ethiopia and now apparently does some kind of humanitarian stuff.

And then the guy beside him is UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

This post is for the older folks in the crowd.

Beach volleyball uniforms suck. Hugh turn off.

I'm with you. I got an email from a buddy today saying how sexy he finds it and I'm like, meh, enjoy yourself I guess.

Like they're obviously very skimpy - which seems like it should be good - but somehow it doesn't add up. I don't know if it's the broad shoulders on most of the chicks or just the way the uniforms are cut or what. I keep expecting to be turned on by their asses in those things but it only ends up happening for maybe 1 in 8.

Which is not a bad thing. And I'm not saying I wouldn't boink most of those girls. But I'm just saying I am not on the same page as a lot of horndogs on this.

For me, athletic is not necessarily the same thing as sexy.

Haha, I wasn't thinking about it as I was doing it but that was 75% communist content I posted there.

I guess a lot of the young people here wouldn't remember the '72 East German women's swim team which was later revealed to have been all men with their cock and balls tucked between their legs.

Were they scared of Mark Spitz?

Another delayed random thought about the opening ceremonies:

If I had to rank all the Beatles/Paul McCartney tunes, Hey Jude would be pretty close to the bottom. I walked away from my TV when that started. I am probably in the minority but I have always found that song to be a major snooze.

Should have played Tomorrow Never Knows.

The Canadian coverage is not bad IMO. My biggest complaint so far is that it isn't Canada-focused enough. Like I kept looking in on the cycling road race today - and our guy who won the Giro D'Italia, Ryder Hesjedal, was in it - and I was very curious where he stood - but like 10 minutes would pass and there would be no mention of how he was doing.

Now as it turns out he was never anywhere near becoming a factor so that's probably why they weren't bothering, but still, you could say that every five minutes or so.
