yeah I was wondering. it's somekind of shovel shot one timer. looked intentional. Wonder if they practice that

Is it? Looked to me like an instinct play on a pass that was slightly long. Puck never touched the ice.

Most likely you're right. It seems that makes for an unstoppable angle for the goalie. I wouldn't be totally surprised if these guys practice catching pass mid air and shoveling it like that though.

I'm guessing it was more the chemistry between two very talented players, than a specific 'set play' that is practiced.

Usually set plays revolve around the PP.
