I like the part about the old lady who just watched the bruins games to see him sing the national anthem and then would turn off the tv.

The salute is for an elderly woman who used to watch the Bruins only to see Rene sing the anthem then turn off the TV. The salute is also credited to his special forces unit as he was a green beret during Vietnam. He earned the Purple Heart for his valor in battle."

Oh yeah, I saw that. I was talking on the phone and switched to the game on mute, and I saw the goal and figured bingo. Next thing I know they are heading to overtime.
