NFL - week 9

I noticed Al Michaels was on top of the betting situation in last night's game. When Atlanta booted that last field goal to extend their lead to 6 he sez something like, "Well that just made a whole lot of people happy, and a whole lot of other people not happy."

If it was Jim Harbaugh he would have went for the 1st down on 4th and 1 and end the game. But coach Smitty wanted the local loyal Atlanta betting fans to cash their tickets. You got to love a coach who cares for the betting fans of his home team.

I see what he did there too! Brett Musberger though even gives out the lines, unless he stopped doing it!

That last Atlanta drive that led to that field goal was weird. There was some strange play calling, some bad tackling at critical times, critical penalties called (and not called).

And then fortunately Atlanta didn't get that last first down which would have allowed them to just kneel down and run out the clock.

I feel very fortunate to cash that one.

some bad tackling at critical times,

I know! Saw that too! I mean when I see those bump type tackling attempt with shoulder only, I think, go into the guy with both arms attempting to wrap up body and at least hold onto player to wait for help!

How many times you see the bump tackle do nothing and the runner continues downfield! Don't know if case in this game but that is why I starting to the Dafty theory of going against the majority is a winner in the long run!

You have to use live betting in these situations. I had Atlanta -3.5 for the game. But as soon as Atlanta went up 16-6 I put some on Dallas +9.5 on live betting which worked out pretty cool.

Well I don't play football but play soccer every Sunday so I know a little bit about players conditioning. Let me tell you this. It's much easier to make a tackle in either game 5 minutes after the game starts than 5 minutes before the game ends. Fatigue both physical and mental gets you towards the end of the game.

Saulty you must be filthy rich winning all that gambling money all the time.

I'm not filthy rich. I play with pocket change compared to the duritos and the choos of the world. But I have been doing great on live betting lately. It's like being a coach and trying to figure out whether Tony Romo or Eli Manning is going to fuck up the next drive.

Yup. You don't want to know how much money that cost me.

Pretty disgusting to watch.

Sure. I just wish I had started posting my picks from the start of the season. People would be so impressed and I live for that.

I believe this week's results brings me to 362 - 5 for the season.

I'm up a billion units or so.

Muddy, I'm always impressed by you! Keep the picks coming, please! If unexpectedly worst next week (remember it was only juice anyway) I would suggest it could be a Gamelive thing!

Being the religious person I am, I know all TRUE GL members are going to heaven, but possibly that means we have to endure hell while down here! Dunno ..... but I have faith!
