Next GL bash should be in Cuba

I like the idea. I've met a number of Americans through couchsurfing who've visited Cuba and loved it.

If I understand correctly, it's not even illegal to go there, only to engage in any commerce. In any case, the Xes are in.

Great website. It was probably a little better 4-5 years when it didn't get quite as much attention. But it's still pretty great. Best way to travel. It usually keeps you safely away from the touristy areas.

Do you Canadians actually visit Cuba, or do you just go to the fake tourist resorts on the beach?

I rarely stay at the resorts. I spend most of my visits in the city of Holguin and stay with a local family in their casa particular.

Don't see how I could go, but damn that's the right idea Teamer.

Plommer could be the tour guide. It would be the best bash ever.

I only visit Camaguey and Holguin - and most of the time I stay in Holguin.

plommer is too much of a pussy to meet anybody.
