I am all setup to apply for my roofing license in the state of Florida. Have been part owner of a company for the last 5 years, but I am now ready to be the license holder. Had to pass two exams and spend a bunch of money in the process but I am almost there. Florida is very stringent in its contractor's licensing so the application process is very involved.

Right now I am stuck trying to come up with a name for the company. I don't want to be too corny or too cliche. Been brainstorming some words that might be relevant, but I could use some help from the gamelive community. My last name is Brown and that could be tied into the name, but would have to be a variation, as "Brown Roofing" is already in use by another contractor.
I will be able to work anywhere in the state of Florida with my license.
Will be purchasing a web domain and creating an email account with the name, so I want it to be something that I can look at for a very long time and be proud of. Let me hear what you all think.

And go...

If you really want Brown Roofing, you should be able to register the business name in another state where it isn't registered already. Unless your license requires the business to be legally established in Florida too.

If that's not an option, I propose McRoofin' and MC Roofinator.

Not sure I want 'Brown Roofing', but from what I understand you have to register it with the state of Florida.

Should I put this on the side of my truck Bread?

With the hurricanes and tornados here in Florida the roofing business has been good over the years for a good many contractors. Guy here in town owns Mac Jonsons Roffing and is highly successful, has been for years. He was a couple years ahead of me in school and took over his dad's business. Spent most of the mid to late 90's bringing huge amounts of cocaine back this way from south Florida when doing roofing contracts down there. Now he's expanded some into other areas of business.....................

My bad MC, I tend to ramble at times. All I was trying to say is good luck with your new business.

I just did a Google search and saw no Top That Roofings anywhere.

This one is good because you have the obvious play on words using "top" in your name.

But then you add a certain swagger to your company image. A swagger not so over the top that it will turn off potential customers either. You are challenging competitors to Top That! Because they can't! We're the best, man!
