Need fantasy football help - select my 3 keepers

12-team, 2QB, 3-keeper league

QB QB WR WR WR WR RB RB RB TE TE DEF + 6 defensive players

Basically, once we start drafting, all the starting QBs are already taken, along with all the top-tier RBs.

This is my team as of last year:

I've done well with it thanks to my 3 starting QBs, but I've got no true stars. The only sure-shot keeper is Brady. My top RB is Morris and he's not even that good. Gore is going to share carrying duties with Hunter so I'm prolly not going to hold on to him. But maybe I should?

Basically, I'm wondering if I should keep 1) Brady + 2RBs, or 2) Brady + Cutler OR Smith + Morris, or 3) all 3 starting QBs, or 4) diversify and go Brady + RB (Morris) + WR (A. Johnson).

Assume basic Yahoo scoring. What would you do?
 
I feel like there's no way I can give away my draft strategy by giving you this advice but avoid Alex Smith and Dwayne Bowe like the plague.

Johnson is pretty dependable, so that last strategy sounds good to me, but with all those WR spots and everyone keeping QBs and RBs you may want to go Gore, Morris, Brady and just draft the best QB available then take WRs for 4 rounds.
 
Round 4 QBs are all backups though (unless I drop one of my 3 starters.)

I figured it didn't hurt to ask for advice here since our league is so different. 2QB leagues are an entirely different animal.

BTW Smith did really well last year. I hate the idea of letting him go.

Plus depending on who others keep won't there by an opportunity to draft Smith if no one selects him? Say if you have the #2 or #3 pick and the guy above you passes on Smith?
 
I have ran a few Mock Drafts already. I am off tomorrow and hope to do a few more to try to learn whatever I can from that.

Despite having grand plans for drafting, it seems that you just grab what you can based on position. I guess we only know what spot we are draftng 30 minutes prior to draft. I am glad I have time tomorrow to figure more out.

This is a team I got last night at (at 3am after work) from going 10th. I just had to get whatever I could.

12. Danny Amendola (NE - WR)
13. Darren Sproles (Phi - RB)

I guess Brady is fine in a 2 QB league. Don't play 2 QB leagues and no idea what caliber QBs will kept kept and which will be available in the draft.

Kendall Hunter is out for the season. Gore will lose carries to Carlos Hyde in order to keep the former fresh for the playoffs. Gore still a good bet for 10 touchdowns.

Might keep Floyd over Gore, though (in PPR I would for sure). I like Floyd more than Andre Johnson. Think Floyd is a top 10 WR this year.

You probably want to find a way to keep Julius Thomas.

Alex Smith completely sucks at football.

I am starting to realize how 'our' league is different from the standard league... I just am going through the finer points... I just noticed that we are playing head to head each week.That and a comment from IAG that I understand now. I'll figure it out hopefully... Learning curve..who knew?
