6th pick is the only one Tomato is a bit worried about. Hearing mixed signals between Monroe and Udoh.

No strategy, these aren't that hard to predict.

Ok - I was thinking that if it's a coin flip between two players, might as well get +150 odds on both of them. I might hedge the 6th pick like this, picking Monroe and Udoh (once they replace Babbitt with Udoh). Already did this with my 7th I guess.

My first draft bets!

What do you think about the Kentucky prop on first round picks? It comes down to Orton and I could see him pulling a DeJuan Blair and dropping far - he's got knee issues AND he averaged 3 PPG, 3 RPG

Edit: AND he's coming off like a Douche. You know Durant calls the shots around OKC, and I bet he says "No thanks" to the local product.

Top 5 set in stone:

1 - Wall
2 - Turner
3 - Johnson
4 - Favors
5 - Cousins

Cousins still -175 at BetOnline ($1000 wager amount limit)

Sportsbetting has $50 limits (risk amount)
Sportsbook.com has $200 limits (risk amount)
Bodog has $50 limits (wager amount)

Let Tomato know if you know of other sites with props.

Best bet is Bodog for live betting... just keep clicking until they take it off if they put up any prop for the top 5.

Heat traded pick 18 to the Thunder - I guess OKC is looking at Larry Sanders there.

I'm thinking about what this does for Orton's position - Do the Thunder want to take on two projects at once? I think he's going to fall out of the first round, so grab that UNDER 4.5 Kentucky players in the first round prop!

Bodog took all their props down. Holy shit do they not want to book Tomato's action?

Really confused about the 6th pick. Udoh or Monroe. Udoh is the hot name and NBA Draft dot net just put him at #6. He's all over GSW forums too.

I've been working the phones all day and here's the latest chatter around the league

* It's time to end all of the Chris Paul speculation that grew like wildfire over the past few days. The Hornets did receive a few calls about Paul, but a very good source in New Orleans tells me they aren't trading him. Owner George Shinn may want to save cash, but he can't part with with his franchise cornerstone.
* Georgia Tech big man Derrick Favors is back in favor in New Jersey. A league source told me on Wednesday night that after 24 hours of debate, it looks like Favors has re-emerged as the favorite to go No. 3. After a so-so Favors workout on Monday, the Nets began to move toward Syracuse forward Wes Johnson. But with the draft now less than 24 hours away, Favors has re-emerged as the favorite. The news squashes the prevailing theory around the league that drafting Johnson was a precursor to the Nets signing free agent forward Carlos Boozer this summer. Both Johnson and Boozer are represented by the same agent, Rob Pelinka. The source stressed that the decision wasn't a final one and that the Nets were also exploring potential trade options with the No. 3 pick. But if the draft were held tonight, Favors would be the pick.
* I'm not sure if Minnesota will greet the news with joy or relief. They focused in on Johnson early but got comfortable with the idea of taking Favors at 4 over the course of the last 24 hours. The Wolves continue to look for an Al Jefferson deal after being rebuffed by Detroit over the weekend (Wolves offered Jefferson for Tayshaun Prince and No. 7) and the Grizzlies (for Zach Randolph) earlier in the day.
* The Kings, as we've been reporting all week, are still leaning toward taking DeMarcus Cousins at No. 5 if both Favors and Wes Johnson are off the board. A team source disputes a report that the Kings have made up their mind, but as we told you last night, the consensus remains with Cousins.
* The Warriors are talking to a number of teams about potential trades and it looks like the No. 6 pick in the draft is up for grabs. The cost, however is high. The Warriors want whoever takes the pick to take on the contract of Monta Ellis as part of the deal. If the Warriors keep the pick, they're deciding between Greg Monroe and Ekpe Udoh. My source continues to support what I wrote Tuesday night -- Udoh has the edge.
* The Pistons have been exploring a number of deals, but at this point they seem pretty set at No. 7. Of course they would to land DeMarcus Cousins. But the Pistons seem content to take Greg Monroe or Ed Davis here. While the team is high on both Monroe, Davis and Ekpe Udoh, Detroit is still leaning toward Greg Monroe here if he's on the board.

FACK ME if he's right, although NBADRAFT.NET still has Davis over Monroe... wonder if Tomato can buy this back.

Barring a last-minute change in thinking, the New Jersey Nets will select Georgia Tech freshman Derrick Favors over Syracuse's Wesley Johnson with the No. 3 pick, ESPN.com was told Thursday morning. According to a source with knowledge of the selection, the Nets made the decision because they are not guaranteed to get a power forward such as Utah's Carlos Boozer, Toronto's Chris Bosh or Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire in free agency. ESPN.com

The source said that Favors is also the most tradeable asset available to the Nets for a possible deal -- more so than Johnson. The source said the Nets might make a deal Thursday night after selecting Favors, or wait to see if one comes in July during the free-agency period. The source said if the Nets make a deal they would have to include the pick of Favors. ESPN.com

Tomato doesn't know what to believe anymore.

Doesn't matter, everyone is scared to death to put any props up. Now Tomato knows how RAS feels.
