I started watching Ides of March last night, seemed pretty good and I'm not one for movies about politics, then I got busy with something else. Truly loaded cast. Will likely watch tonight and will post full review in an even older Movie Talk thread.

The Hunger Games - GF is addicted to this shit, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I read the first book, which was mildly entertaining and a very easy read. 5.5 Matty Rains for the book.

Classic dystopian bullshit, less interesting than very similar stuff I read as a kid (it's a lot like Stephen King's The Long Walk, but without Mr. King's creeping horror.) Kids kill each other like they're in a video game, with little emotion involved. Very odd.

Movie had to cram too much in 2.5 hours, felt rushed. But considering the source material, it's a good adaptation.

In the end, this is disposable entertainment. Kids love stupid shit.
