As of right now Houston is -9. On the surface based on the offensive output shown thus far by the Jets and the same but opposite offensive showing by the Texans it looks like Houston would be the play. The problem is there were several games this weekend that looked easy enough but turned out to be completely opposite of what might have been expected.
I looked and both teams have played 4 games so far this season and they are both 2-2 on OVER/UNDERS. Also in the past 5 head to head meetings only once (the last meeting in 2010) would they have combined to go over a TOTAL of 40. Obviously the head to head trends mean less since both teams have changed personnel in that time but there is a trend even if it is grasping at straws.
There is enormous pressure on the Jets as a whole but more importantly Sanchez and coach Rex Ryan to perform. Pressure is a great motivator for some but is it enough here?
I still lean to the UNDER but haven't made a play yet.
Anyone have anything to offer?
