I said it sarcastically when I said Obama inherited a sinking ship but the truth is he did. The reality though is he really didn't do anything substantial to make it better and there is clear evidence that he in fact made things worse.
Naturally there was enormous pressure on him and the biggest pressure of all was being the first black president. On the flip though that reason alone may be why he was given not only a pass but a second term.
Like it or not he has another 4 years and with it another opportunity to make the history books be about more than the color of his skin or the nationality on his birth certificate.
