I feel like I should know this but I don't. If I am looking at totals on baseball and, say there is a bunch of action on 8.5 - but I want to start something up on the 8.

How do I do that? Create a new numeral.

I frequently see where they have more than one numeral going but I don't know to do it.

20four7's right Muddy, Matchbook doesn't really respond to requests to open another market on games which they already cover. (I can sometimes persuade them to open a market on a tennis match they missed, but even then sometimes I get refused) As it was explained to me, they try to only open markets on concensus numbers from certain other books they watch, they don't want to open fringe markets because the lack of liquidity doesn't serve their purpose.

Yeah for hours everyone was working off an 8 total for the col/AZ game. They were the only ones still on 8.5.

Stuff like that happens every day. But then other times they'll have a second number open that you can't imagine anyone giving a shit about.

Oh well, whatever.

the problem with that is they are still hanging 190.5 for tonights basketball game when almost every other book is at 193. They do not respond to numbers moving very quickly.

Oh I'm not saying they implement their own policies well. In fact, other than processing payments quickly, there isn't a single aspect about Matchbook that I think is run adequately. They represent everything I hate about bookies, most especially the laziness. It drives me nuts that such a popular business model has only one truly functioning iteration for U.S. bettors. I keep waiting for CRIS to evolve the Betmaker site, but they already appear to have given up on it.

Sadly, my business sense tells me that the owners/operators of Matchbook really don't even want to stay in operation, but are forced to because they would otherwise have to settle all the outstanding credit accounts. Everything about that place demonstrates a half-assed approach, much like the lingering shell of WSEX at this point.
