very nice Monkey

Matty, casinos are mostly wise to everything video poker. Although there is still some value to be had.
Good thing about races is that it's possible to reduce the vig or even turn a profit through good play and still make the book money.
Of course you are taking money from other gamblers technically, but at least they're not sitting at your table

video poker accomplishes the same thing

not sure which is more boring

Not really. They can boot you from the book and you can still play VP. They can't boot you from the book and continue to play horses.

VP is far more boring. If you like sportsbetting, horses aren't a great deal different. You're still looking at lines and picking off +EV numbers.

20 cent options divide the pool into far too many pieces that it leaves the larger bettors who use to be willing to attempt to bring down entire pools pretty much out of luck. I used to be a big superfecta player who's goal was to take down entire pools. This was no longer viable the second other players could now play the multiple combinations that they could not do before. My edge was not only my skillset but also my ability to place more combinations than most when it was a $1 base. My handle dropped by over 50% the first year they brought 20cents in since I no longer could play the Superfecta's with the significant edge I had before. (Not coincidentally the size of these pools dropped substantially as well even though more players had 'access' to them). This gripe probably doesn't apply to the really big tracks but most definitely does for any mid size track.

Was referring to online, I don't go to actual casinos.
