The KHL is a league who has been tryin to go head-2-head with the NHL for a few years now. It's well below several steps when it comes to the level of play/talent of the NHL and just a step above the AHL which is basically a development league for recently drafted Jr. players and players just not good enough to crack a roster spot on an NHL team.
