I have, once.
Not a major case. I quite enjoyed it as a one off.

The case probably should not have gone to trial, the guy was as guilty as sin.
The jury was unanimous within 15 mins, despite the fact that the formalities are supposed to take up 45 mins.

LOL. Habeas Corpus (the principle of being innocent until proven guilty) was written into law here in the Magna Carta in the 13th Century and forms the basis of pretty much all criminal justice systems in English speaking and Commonwealth countries today.

Just doing my part as a US citizen to help out. Have any of you other degens ever done this?

Yeah, I got pulled in for this crap. Despite my best attempts, I was picked to decide a assault charge for a cop who went into his kids friends house while they were having a party, and then started kicking ass.

I sat there for a week while the judge delayed, the lawyers delayed, and oh shit its time for lunch. All in all, it sucked. Basically we got around 30 minutes of total testimony in a week, then eventually we had to go decide the case. Well after the first 3 hours we were locked 9 to 3 to convict. I was with the 9, but after debating the case with the others I could care less WTF happened, I just wanted to get a unanimous decision so I could go on with my life. Some of the people on the jury where in my estimation retarded, and it took us another full day to come back in with a decison. It may be the only time I would let a cop off the hook, but I was able to get 8 people to change their votes just because of the 2 retards who thought he wasn't guilty, but like I said I wanted to get the hell out of there, and about 5 hours into deliberation 5 others felt pretty much the same way. So in all the cop was guilty as shit, but we didn't care, we just wanted out of there.

That's pretty crazy RW. They put us through this BS and this justice isn't even served properly.

Wow. The lady just announces that this one trial is scheduled to take 18 days and she said to line up if you qualify. I think I'm just gonna stay seated...
